How does my donation help?
The New York Civil Rights Project is a small-but-mighty charitable nonprofit organization. Your gift is tax-deductible and allows us to continue to organize and train civil rights attorneys for a greater impact across New York.
-
Our staff manage our online platforms, organize trainings, meetings and events, and keep clients, legal organizations, and members connected.
-
We use office space donated by our volunteer board and a few essential online platforms to stay connected with each other and the wider legal community, while also ensuring that confidential information is kept secure with up-to-date storage tools.
-
What’s necessary to educate and grow a new generation of civil rights attorneys is ever-changing. We try to stay current by bringing in legal specialists, experts from other fields, and by creating opportunities for practitioners who would otherwise not have access to these trainings.
-
Since most of our work is done virtually, we make a point of holding an annual in-person event. This allows our members to develop deeper relationships and to steer the direction of the organization collectively.
